Library Materiel
  • This refers to the material you can get in a library.
  • Sound libraries - when a production is complete the sounds would be collected by a production company.
  • Over many productions, libraries collect lots of sounds.
  • Massive production companies collect many different sounds.
  • These sounds could be anything.
  • There would be many different settings that have been collected.
The BBC effects library is a place where you can buy a disc that has many different sounds from vehicles to domestic sound effects.

There is many different bundles for example 'BBC SOUND EFFECTS LIBRARY set of discs 1-10' cost £99 per unit, another example could be 'BBC SOUND EFFECTS LIBRARY Set of discs 41-50' £39 per unit.

Internet
  • The internet is a way of getting copyrighted sounds and videos effects.
Another sound or video effect library i could use, would be SoundRangers, on this site they provide the effects that i would want to use.

Another example would be Freesound, this site also allows me to get all the sound and video effects that i would want to use. This would also allow me to build a sound library for my self because there is many different sounds also it is easy to download. I need to make sure i check the sound.

Property Rights and Copyright (cont'd)
  • If you want to use a copyrighted product you will have to pay for it.
  • A lot of time goes into refining sounds so they will have to get payed for it.
  • Foley artists use many different objects so that they can make the best in depth sound.
  • You have to ave written permission to use someones work, piracy makes Hollywood more boring because there is less money.
  • The sounds have been created by someone else so it is their property.
