Introductory paragraph 
  • The right CV's are the ones that are relevant and shows past experience.
  • Make sure that your CV is clear and easy to read.
  • 10/15 don't research the role before making a CV.

Why customize your CV?

  • The people who write relevant information and involves their skills and attribute are more likely to get shortlisted.
  • Make sure  you are talking about the relevant job and why you are different to others.


CV rules according to MFJF
  1. Make sure you a different CV's for Different job roles.
  2. Make sure you remove all irrelevant information that does not link with the job you are applying for.
  3. Make sure you keep bringing up the job role title
  4. Don't mention your address
  5. Keep all the relevant information at the top of your CV.
  6. Think about what the recruiter want to hear and then try and explain why that is you.
  7. Make sure you do not talk a lot, 'Less is More' 
  8. Make sure you do not show an ego, and stay calm.
  9. Try and make sure the CV does not go in Their recruiters spam folder, by Making it a small file size.
  10. Always save the file name as "Your Name - The Job Title - Company Name".
The advice given is very good for trying to apply for a job in film production because it tells you to always keep with the relevant information, also another good tip was not to show a big ego when creating a CV. There is a lot of tips about how you should structure your CV as well.

But what if i have no experience!!?
  • Talk about what you have done in the past, and make sure that you are giving what the recruiter wants so that they can relate to you better, most importantly you should always research the job roles so that you can find every kind of dimension of it.
Specialise
  • The worst thing you could say on your CV , would be saying you want to know what every  part of the business is like so that you can decide if you want that career. The reason why is because the recruiter wants someone to stay and also would get pride if someone would want to be just like them.
Example CV's
  • You must make sure that your CV is relevant and you repeat the title of the job multiple of times.
  • I feel like the CV example for a distribution job is the most relevant to where i am at because it is not the hardest but is very skillful and you get a lot of experience from doing this job
The things CV's all have in common is...
  • A formal clear font.
  • The title under your name is the name of the job you are applying for.
  • The job title is repeated many times through out the CV.
  • The CV's all have relevant information.
  • CV's have all the important information at the top.
  • CV never waffle on through out the text.
